I'm posting poems daily, as is Dana over at her cantina, and many people are taking this opportunity to write poems.
Robert Lee Brewer of Poetic Asides has issued an annual challenge on his blog. It may be too late to get in on the prize fun, but every day he'll be posting poetic prompts (like that alliteration?) to get your mind going and get your pen moving. Even if you only stop by for one post, I encourage you to see the prompts he already has, and maybe even use them as a jumping-off point for your poetry. If nothing else, it'll be a fun exercise.
Today's prompt: Take the phrase "The problem with (blank)" and replace the "(blank)" with a word or phrase. Make this the title of your poem and then write a poem to fit with or juxtapose against that title. For instance, you could have poems with the titles of "The problem with government," "The problem with advanced mathematics," or "The problem with bipolar penguins." You know the drill: have fun, be creative.
