Prayer Requests

This week, please pray with me that:

• my cousin Joey, who has had a brain tumor return after only three years, will be able to be healed so he can continue to live his life fully.
• my mom's cousin, who was recently sent to Iraq, will stay safe, as will all men and women serving both overseas and at home.
• my brother's new job goes well, and he's able to continue to move forward in life toward his goals.
• my sister-in-law has a safe wilderness trip this week, and is ready for classes to start when she returns.

• my mom continues to heal quickly from her surgery so that she can come down here when Bean is born.
• August mommies (and overdue July mommies) have a safe last few weeks (or less) of pregnancy, and deliver healthy babies easily.

• my mom's surgery, which is tomorrow, will go well, and she is able to recover quickly.
• CMerie's grandmother continues to heal, and that her upcoming mastectomy goes smoothly.
• Angie's preparation for the new school year (including getting trained for the new aspects of her job) goes well.
• my step-sister Amy finds peace in the midst of her emotionally difficult summer.

• my mother, who may have to have surgery at the end of July
• my sister-in-law, who is having a difficult time with her hectic schedule (which has caused her to become ill)
• my husband's parents, who will be traveling from July 10th until July 18th
• Frazzoo, who will be spending time getting her feet wet in her new position at work, and is nervous about what the added responsibility will bring
• my friend Lisa, who is currently going through a very severe depression
• Lisa's husband, who is doing all he can to be there for his wife
• my friend Pam, who starts a new job in August, but won't get a paycheck until October

• my sister, who hopes to purchase her own home in the near future

• my mother- and father-in-law have a safe trip this week (they'll be driving today, and they'll be back Wednesday)
• Hubby and I have a safe trip to Illinois on Wednesday and Thursday

• everything will work out so Hubby and I can visit my family for a long Memorial Day weekend.

National Day of Prayer

Today is the National Day of Prayer.

I'm embarrassed to say I almost missed it, were  it not for a post about it by another blogger I read regularly.  However, I will be praying throughout the day today, and taking extra time tonight before bed to pray for some special intentions.

I'd like to (once again) share my prayer requests for this week, and invite you to share yours with me by commenting on this post or by emailing me, and I'd be happy to pray for you today.

Today please pray with me that:

• Pam is able to find a new job soon (she was very recently laid off).
• Angie's friend Heather and her baby, who was born prematurely.
• the Lord will work for an unspoken prayer request from Angie.
• Angie will find "lots and lots of patience."
• "angel_une," who had some contractions and is afraid of going into pre-term labor on top of her complicated home/family siutation, will be able to find relaxation and keep herself and her unborn child healthy until much closer to her due date.
• Mothers and mothers-to-be everywhere have a happy, healthy Mother's Day.
  
• I receive good news from an exciting job opportunity soon.
• my blood work and glucose test go well tomorrow (Friday).
  
• my husband and I will be able to visit my family in central Illinois over Memorial Day weekend.

• "angel_une," who had some contractions and is afraid of going into pre-term labor on top of her complicated home/family situation, will be able to find relaxation and keep herself and her unborn child healthy until much closer to her due date.
• my bloodwork and glucose tolerance screening go well on Friday.
• my husband and I are able to visit my family in central Illinois at the end of May or beginning of June.

• Angie's friend Heather, whose baby was born at 30 weeks.  Angie says, "While he's small and breathing on his own, he'll be in the hospital for quite some time. She and her husband are optimistic, but it's still a scary time for them."

• my sister-in-law hears soon about her internship opportunity so she can finally make her summer plans
• my sister-in-law has a good ending to her school year, and gets the grades she's hoping for in her classes
• my mother- and father-in-law have a safe trip out of town this weekend
• I'm able to get good news about recent resumes/samples I've sent for writing opportunities

• my mother-in-law is able to figure out why she's been getting dizzy lately, and can get a solution to it.
• my sister-in-law gets good news about her internship interview so she can have a good internship close to home over the summer.
• my brother (Trevor) can continue to get his life back on track and head in the direction he wants to go.
• my prenatal appointment goes well (on Monday), and I can find out why I've been bruising easily lately.
• I get good news about a few good writing jobs I'm still waiting to hear back from.
