Planning new family photos

At the beginning of the year, the munchkins and I did family photos. It was the first session in what I planned to do annually to have photographic evidence of the growth and development of my family.

The pictures turned out beautifully, and I made a mental note to do them again in the fall to add to our holiday cards for family and close friends.

Of course, now our family has changed. We're no longer a family of three. With the inclusion of Bo in our family, it's even more important for us to plan new family photos.

So Bo and I will be scheduling a new session for our family photos soon. We want to make sure we get our prints before it's time to send our our family holiday cards.

Some of the pictures we had done at the last session--such as the one pictured in this post--will be recreated in our new session. However, with the addition of Bo to our family, I'm looking forward to new pictures that reveal our family dynamic.

NaNoWriMo Prep: Call for photos

This month I'd like to share pictures of writers...well, writing, of course! Whether you're participating in NaNo or not, I'd love to share pictures of you writing during November (the photo doesn't have to have been taking in November).

You can be writing anything anywhere, as straightforward or creative as you'd like. However you'd like to represent yourself writing (no offensive images, please) is fine with me!

In addition to the photo and any caption you'd like, I'll also include a link to your blog or website of choice. The photos will be posted in the order in which they're received.

Please send your photos to me at nicolepalmby (at) gmail (dot) com. Include any information you would like posted with the photo in the blog (caption, bio, link, etc.). I will send email confirmation that the photo was received within a day or two. There's not really a deadline for the photos, but I would like to post as many as possible during the month of November.

So prove to me that writers write! Send your photos!

Readers, Where Are You?

The Coffee-Stained Writer will be hosting its first photo carnival!

I want to see you (or someone) reading. At a library, coffee house, on the bus, walking in the park, swimming, hanging from a tree, or playing WiiFit. Show me a picture of you (or someone) reading that best represents your personality.

You may begin sending your photos on June 20th to coffeestainedblog (at) gmail (dot) com. Be sure to include your name, the name of the person or people in the photo (if different), a title/caption if you want, and a short bio. All photos will be posted on the blog.

The deadline to submit a photo is June 30th. The photos will be posted beginning July 1st.
